Today, I ran a Mini Cooper S around an autocross course at the Home Depot Center thanks to ABF Road Tour and Yokohama Tires. Also, a big thanks to Gruppe S for organizing everything. I felt like the Mini is fun, but not my cup of tea. Lots of turbo lag and the stability control is always there trying to keep you from having fun. Still had a couple good laps, my best being the one below.

Our resident Ferrari racer managed to put down a top speed of 211 mph on a runway. Fastest of the day, according to him. He did so along side road racer Didier Theys, a former 24 Hours of Daytona winner and Porsche RS Spyder driver. Chris posted times in three different cars, his fastest being in none other that Woking’s Silver Arrow the Mercedes McLaren SLR. He also posted 205 mph in a Ford GT and 200 mph in a Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera. Chris earned a special award as the fastest driver of the day and went home once again with a plaque to hang in the trophy case.
